KL&P offers a wide array of eco fibers and environmentally-friendly ideas to put on the backs of your employees and customers. Many of our clients use our bamboo fiber lines for polos, towels, sweaters and robes with uncommon softness.

One of the most exciting of the eco products we offer are hats, aprons, shirts and bags made from RPET. Recycled PolyEthylene Terephthalate for you scientist types. For the rest of us, just think of recycled plastic bottles shredded and spun into a woven fiber. The cloth can be used in anything that polyester is used for, except it started as plastic bottles!

When Home Town Buffet’s uniform program was about to expire with Cintas, our supplier partner prepared a presentation that included new designs and analysis that showed each employee's shirt which was purchased and laundered by Cintas had an average cost of $250.00 per year. The new proposal offered 5 new shirts per employee, made from RPET and included a custom Home Town Buffet label. Special packaging informed the employee how to properly launder the shirt themselves. With better pricing the company saved over 50% of their annual purchases or $600,000.00 in real dollars that could be spent on other growth related projects.

Recently Quiznos switched 100% of their uniform pieces to RPET. Other international companies such as McDonald’s, Starbucks and Pizza Hut are also moving in this direction as well. Our RPET program has saved over 4.9 million plastic bottles from going to landfills or the oceans to date. RPET makes a great statement, washes and wears like iron, and is a great value. In fact, KL&P can put together a pricing program that might very well cost less than what you are currently paying for cotton and polyester goods.
